1 pot Goût Russe Douchka (Dammann Frères)
It's supposed to be a blend with different citrus oils, but I don't really taste the difference with a regular Earl Grey. Still pretty good though.
1 pot L'Oriental (Dammann Frères)
Amazing! I though that a flavored green wouldn't really be my taste, but I LOVE this tea. The tea taste and the fruity taste blend beautifully and the fruit taste is wonderfully complex.
Had some Pu-erh Tuo Cha today and went and replenished my supply of tea today. I got a half pound of China Gunpowder Green tea, a half pound of Formosa Oolong tea, a quarter pound of Lapsang Souchong and a quarter pound of a black peach tea that I am going to try from this place called Figuero's that is off of Main Street in Historic St. Charles. I like this place for bulk tea like this because they are really cheap. All the tea I got today only cost me $22.67. I also ordered some Genmai Cha and a blend called Gemini from Adagio the other day too. Happy days...:)
I'm in tea heaven!
I'm drinking a First Flush, Fair Trade, Organic FTGFOP1 Samabeong (Darjeeling), which is all I could ever wish for in a black tea. It's not bitter at all (unlike some similar teas I've had), with an overal mild, woody and even slightly flowery taste.
Surprisingly enough, I discovered this little gem in a supermarket. It's also ridiculously cheap! I always knew that one day, plowing through all those rows of Lipton and Twinings would be rewarded.
Right this second I'm drinking Bigelow's Constant Comment (I know, shame, shame, but chalk it up to nostalgia.) but recently I've been really into Adagio's Peppermint. That stuff is fantastic, no sugar or other additives needed. I really recommend it to anyone who likes minty things. (Though if you're less partial, just steep it for a shorter time. Maybe 4 minutes instead of seven.) =D
I've been drinking Garden Aria from Teavana, Strawberry from Adagio, and Peach from Adagio (not as good as the strawberry at all, but decent). Enjoying darker (black) teas right now to help me stay alert while I'm not sleeping too soundly. On nights when I constantly wake up and don't sleep through the night, black tea really reboots me in the morning. (Thank goodness.)
